About Me

I am a graphic designer and illustrator (that’s me above looking awkward with unkempt hair) with over 30 years experience. I have worked for a number of diverse companies throughout my career, starting in the newspaper industry for 12 years then working for a clothing company designing T-Shirt graphics (Marvel, New Era, Tesco, Gio Goi, Manchester United) and corporate wear for Stella Artois, Coors, Fosters. Recently I worked for a company that specialised in personalised gifting working with brands such as The Cartoon Network, Betty Boop, MTV, Manchester City and ClaireaBella, I am an enthusiastic and punctual team player,used to working to strict deadlines both within a team and also independently.

ClaireaBella 2012

During my time at ClaireaBella and toxicfox.co.uk I was responsible for product design, character design, product imagery and special customer request.

I was responsible for the design of beach towels, jute bags, notebooks, phone cases, packaging headphones.

I also did work for Betty boop, Cartoon Network, MTV and Manchester United,

CIC Clothing 2004

I was responsible for the design of t-shirts and garments and worked closely with buyers (Tesco, Ethel Austin, Stella Artois, Manchester United etc.) and frequently travelled abroad to identify emerging trends and liaising with the factories to ensure the final product was to a high standard.

I also worked alongside breweries to design promotional garments and staff uniform.

Pindar 2003

During my time at Pindar I was responsible for the creation of visuals for potential clients looking to advertise.

I was also responsible for the production of yellow pages advertisements and layouts.

Trinity Mirror 1994

Working within a design team on a portfolio of adverts for clients ranging from sole traders to blue chip companies. My role also included designs and illustrations for the marketing team, (billboard advertising, merchandising, etc) visualisng, templates and editorial graphics. This role was conducted in a highly pressurised environment with strict daily deadlines.
